Preserved moss is real moss that has been organically engineered to be able to maintain its vibrant colors and natural characteristics. All of our moss is sustainably harvested from different forests spanning across Europe. Once the moss has been harvested it undergoes the preservation process which is achieved by soaking the moss in a glycerine solution over several days. During this time, the glycerin penetrates the cells replacing the water and effectively preserving its softness and flexibility. The resulting product is a beautiful natural material that can be used for an endless possibilities of designs.

MAINTENANCE
Preserved moss is a great way to add greenery to your indoor space without the hassle of watering and maintaining live plants. However, it still requires some maintenance to keep it looking fresh and attractive:
- Avoid direct sunlight
- Avoid physical contact
- Requires relative humidity of 40%-60%
- Does not require watering (risk of damaging color & texture)
- Gentle dusting as needed
If the moisture levels drop below the recommended humidity levels, moss will temporarily dry up until restored to proper humidity, returning to its fresh and flexible self.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
RIVA Moss panels are constructed using a high-quality, stiff foam core board reinforced with an aluminum film, offering a lightweight yet sturdy product. In the case of a curved design, the moss is mounted on a reinforced felt board which allows flexibility.
Panel sizes will vary depending on the proposed design and space (roughly around 24″ x 36″).
The product is fire-resistant to allow for commercial applications (restaurants, hotels, airports, retail stores, etc.).
RIVA Moss offers noise absorption properties due to its spongy nature. It is great for office and corporate settings.
Since it is preserved and not living moss, it does not attract bugs nor insects and is also hypoallergenic.
